Inaccurate, unreliable and outdated manifests may lead to legal, compliance and operational liabilities. ISA's Smart Inventory is a creative process to produce manifests of boxed records at a small fraction of traditional costs.
The process consists of creating a video of all box labels and all tab labels inside each box. Our software then ingests the video and creates a graphical manifest with all the relevant still images that describe what a box contains. This graphical manifest makes it possible to quickly and inexpensively locate where originals are.
One critical application of our smart inventory methodology is for our "On Demand" service, which consists of responding to records requests of documents in our custody that have not yet been scanned, QC-ed, indexed and posted.
